So, as much as peace and security in the CAR, the preservation of this privileged status will be the primary concern of the men and women of the battalion and of the two formed police units constituting this 8th contingent of Cameroonian soldiers who received their banner of accreditation this Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
The expedition may as well look peaceful and pacifying, it is nevertheless to be feared that it will be quite restful and even that it will become more complicated with regard to the local entrepreneurs of illegitimate armed violence, them whose ambitions could see itself increased tenfold in the wake of certain recent developments in the security sphere in the Middle East and East Africa.
To the operational vigilance, which they will have to show, the Cameroonian ambassadors for peace in the Central African Republic will have to add an unfailing instinctual discipline, the romantic feeling being likely to tip over a situation that physical force has proved incapable of changing. In a nutshell, they will have to think about it more than once before pulling the trigger.
Brave soldiers of the Republic,
Brave children of Cameroon,
Brave beggars of peace,
Good luck, in the land of Central Africa!!!
