Honor and Loyalty : NO TO SCHOOL: common vocabulary of international obscurantist in Cameroon
Cameroonian substitutes for certain seasonal unrest seem to feed off a particularly morbid schizophrenia in school, and above all, what it transmits.
A fundamental hatred of knowledge that shines through both names and slogans. Boko Haram or forbidden education, dead School in other words école morte, are thus linguistic variants of the project common to members of the obscurantist international raging in Cameroon.
The materialization of this state of psychosis takes the form of fire, the destruction of schools by terrorists, when they are not transformed into bases of fallback. In this endeavor to wipe the fountain of science off the map, aspirants for moral and intellectual upliftment are tortured, maimed and muzzled on their way to school, and even into classrooms.
And as if the depth of silliness had not yet been reached, here comes the detonation of bombs in the amphi theatres, in the manifestly desperate search for the carnage which could finally ring the alarm bell for the knowledge of temple attendance.
A fight lost long in advance, so much the dark ambition awaits our youth, in its intangible essence. Because, and even if some badly turned minds can indulge in such rantings, it remains humanly impossible to extinguish in our youth the desire for curiosity, which animates it, this ardent quest for the soul in perpetual fulfillment, before being an outburst of heart that is never completely satisfied, then an always renewed perspective of reason.
In support of this very natural inclination to understand the arrangement of the material and immaterial constituents of the universe that surrounds them, Cameroonian youths are aware that their development depends on their ability to discover, invent and innovate and to decide, all aptitudes being acquired only through assiduous attendance at school, concerns which the revolutionaries of backward view would like to dispense with, those who propose darkness in place of light, violence, disorder and dissension rather than calm, order and peace, ignorance instead of knowledge, stultification instead of fulfillment; once again a waste of time.
The bombing at the University of Buea could have ended in a massacre. It was not, nature itself having taken up the cause of the beggars of knowledge. / -
