Honor and Loyalty : Cameroon’s national unity: no cause for alarm
The images are still present on social media;a depiction of sheer wickedness, savage cruelty, total deviance and demeaning inhumanity.
Severalelderly people gruesomely tortured and persecuted by a horde of terrorists jubilating over their heinous crime; averyviolent actby blood-thirsty terrorists, having managed to capture this formidable army of seven grandmothers and a grandfather, whose only offencewas to have dared to publicly express their refusal to submit to the terror of obscurantism.
This blatant non-conformitymet withfierce retaliation from the same people who claim to be leading them to the freedom that democracy offers.
Away from that, the spirit of martyrdom of our unshakeable elderlyseems to have vanished into the ominous void of indifference of a community of civil rights defenderswho are haunted by a ‘human rightsism’that is obviously more focused onsiphoning a few notes out of the billions of francs of humanitarian aid destined for war-torn countries beyond our borders.
However, it is proven that the situation in Cameroon has in no way gone unnoticedby those who want to impose on us what they want and when they want it, including the type and origin of food on our plate.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of a vast enterprise aimedatthrowing us into the bottomless pit of an exclusive and one-sided multipolarity, at the risk of seeing our country, which refuses to succumb, declared persona non grata.
For one thing, harassment is continuous and limitless; the threateningtone of some of the statements and the prideand arrogance ofleaders of armed terrorist groups housed and fed abroad being the most visible of itsmanifestations. For the custodians of geopolitical ethics, theyare a category of good terrorists, especially when they are being teleguided by global movers and shakers.
Nevertheless, there is no cause for alarm. For no more than the tutelage of yesterday and its colonialist mentality, the current tendenciesof forceful occupation, terrorism and predation, will utterly be overcome by the unitary nature, patriotic enthusiasm and indomitable spirit of our people.
These three pillars of national awareness have always helped Cameroonians to brave apersistent and resurgent adversity, andcountless other difficulties.
If there are still powers, entities and personalities today who continue to fail in their attempts to divide our country, this is proof that a united people is an invincible people.
The current situation may be challenging and irreversible, but ourstruggle for sovereignty remains far from its end, as the enemy that haseverything to gaincannot afford to give up.
Similarly, there is no reason to give in to misguidance, for the noisiest friends are not always the most available or the least greedy.
It is therefore up to us, and only us, to make the choices we deem best suited to the interests of our country.
