Honor and Loyalty : CAMEROON:Support for terrorists … conscience crisisof ngos???

But what went wrong? This question, borrowed from our colloquial language, rightly illustrates the expectation around which public opinion centres, after what seems to be a moral reversal of some actors in the field of Human Rights. These are the same people who, during all these years of the fight against terrorist aggression on our soil, have built their reputation and prosperity on the shameless support given to our oppressors in whom they saw nothingbutgood.

For these guardians of a certain conscience, by massacring with all their might men, women and children intheir houses, the farms and streets, the terrorists were doing a public health service, just as by burning public buildings, private property, schools, clinics, medical facilities and other places of worship, by incinerating the sick in their hospital beds and the dead in their coffins, the cutthroats of humanitarian right-thinking were doing an immeasurable service to humanity.

And for good measure, these consciences obsessed with shallow thoughts never ceased to blame these same inhumanities on our Defence and Security Forces, without sparing themselves in the process, the blamesimplicitly levied on our people for their attachment to our republican institutions.

However, here we are! We cannot combine the past with the liabilities of our fiercest detractors, on the basis of an epistolary output. To do so would be to lack retention, insightand foresight. Forgetfulness, superficiality and blindness expose us to the dirty tricks that one can sense behind this smokescreen.

Indeed, it has been proven that the operators of the human rights sector have since become agencies of influence in the game of the plenipotentiaries of global hegemony. From this point of view, it is appropriate to insert the recent semblance of a 180-degree turnaround by these leading entrepreneurs, in the register of psychological diversion manoeuvres, solely intended to achieve through cognitive and emotional flexibility, what until now has not been achieved through pressure, much less through terror.

In these times of uncertainty where the spectre of a global conflagration looms, the rival camps of virility are casting a wide net in the quest for a pedestrian population to feed their battlefields, even if it means giving the impression of publicly denying themselves.

This is a moral diversion, an intellectual trickery and an ideological joke that anyone with their brains firmly planted in their head, rather than in their stomach or arms, should be wary of. In any case, and until we know more about what went wrong, let's keep in mind that embracing one’s enemy to better suffocate him is an old adage foreign to the peoples of Africa. It still holds!
