Honor and Loyalty/PROMOTE 2022: Strengthening the sacred link between the Army and the Nation

The Cameroonian Army at PROMOTE, the Yaoundé international Exhibition dedicated to entrepreneurship - an already habitual presence that will soon becomea tradition.

It is a presence at the intersection of surprise and opportunity- one that nonetheless continues to be discovered despite being known, to arouse and satisfy curiosity, to command admiration and win the support of all.

And it is not just a matter of aesthetics, even though the stand manned by our soldiers has on every occasion stood out for the fluidity of its organisation, the sobriety and subtlety of its decoration, the instructive and exhilarating nature of its messages, the warmreception and the clarity of the explanations.

Once this positive observation has been made, for which we cannot reasonably be blamed, the obvious question that comes to mind is to understand the motivations behind the presence of our Army at such a meeting, which is very far from being the rationalepeculiar to arms fairs.

Generally speaking, the answer to this question stems from the objectives pursued by the PROMOTE fair, with, for the most part, the promotion of economic development in Africa and by extension, Cameroon.

However, it is well known, and easily verifiable, that the Cameroonian Army is a major contributor in preparing, activating and sustaining development efforts, putting human capital at the fore.

Thus, in terms of preparation, the Cameroonian Army actively participates in the scientific, moral and civic training of our youth, by opening the doors of schools established within the barracks.

Thus, in terms of preparation, the Cameroonian Army actively participates in the scientific, moral and civic training of our youth, by opening the doors of schools established within the barracks.

And in the third aspect of its civil-military actions, the Cameroonian Army contributes to the health security of all our people, in other words, in preserving our workforce, by making available military medical and health infrastructure.

Ultimately, and from a perspective angle, the industrialisation of Africa, an intermediate stage in the development process of our continent, could not be achieved without the multifaceted contribution of the African Defence Forces, whose appropriation and implementation of the concept of peace and stability at all times, is part of the prerequisitefor the economic and industrial development of each State. /-
